BB + NYC + ARTWALK

Since my entire morning was eaten up by a blackberry gone bad and I am off to NYC in the morning. I am slammed and thus the blog will be ignored for some time. My main reason for NYC is for my work in conjunction with Artwalk NYC a benefit for Coalition for the Homeless. Please attend, we would love to see you there!
Happy Halloweenie!!!

GBB

Yesterday I got my hands on a jar of Giovanni Cosmetics Organic Body Butter. For an organic product its extremely affordable and effective! The butter is just that, but unlike a salve that never seems to get into your skin and just picks up every piece of lint and dirt after you apply. Giovanni gets in and smells great.

I know its available at Whole Foods but I bet the website has a complete listing of outlets - Giovannicosmetics.com

I am a sucka

For anything shiny, so these glitter pumpkins are no exception. I guess you can learn how to create via Martha Stewart but the true credit goes to a floral designer in NYC, Ovando. Click here to be transported to the website....Support the Independent Business!
Martha's got her own marketing staff and plenty of cash for the time being.

If you happen to find yourself in the OC anytime soon, check out The California Biennial. While I can't honestly say I understood a lot of the work, I did enjoy some of the selections.

Lock it up~

Hummm...not sure what it is about this clutch. Is it the perfect shade of brown or the Hermes bit with the lock that makes me lust it so.....but I can't seem to get it off my mind.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- John McCain's presidential campaign said thousands of dollars worth of clothing purchased by the Republican Party for running mate Sarah Palin will go to a ''charitable purpose'' after the campaign.
The Republican National Committee spent about $150,000 on clothing, hair styling, makeup and other ''campaign accessories'' in September for the McCain campaign after Palin, the governor of Alaska, joined the ticket.
The expenses include $75,062 spent at Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis Minn., and $41,850 in St. Louis in early September. The committee also reported spending $4,100 for makeup and hair consulting. The expenses were first reported by Politico.com

AIN'T NO RECESSION IN THE GOP PARTY.....

We do too Tina...

This article (click here) mentions how Tina Fey wants to stop impersonating Ms Palin come Nov 5th. WE DO TOO! Besides that, doesn't Ms Palin have more important lines to be memorizing, like her thoughts on foreign policy, mavericks and hockey moms.

Prop Launch

Are you looking at my title wondering if I forgot the 'e.' Not so dear friend, Prop is for Prop Clothing the eco-fashion line of David Arquette, Ben Harper and David Bedwell. After working on the NY launch last night it moved coasts and to present the LA launch at the Arquettes. The event was a blast, beginning with a synchronized swimming performance. When I first heard about this I was wondering what the H*** but it was a lovely touch, to the fashions to the Ben Harper ++ mini concert.

Let the name dropping begin with in the first 15 minutes I spotted; Heidi Klum, Vincent Gallo, Luka Haas, Lance Armstrong, Diane Wiest, Rosanna Arquette, Laura Dern, many more Arquettes, Pee Wee Herman.....

and if you are curious what my role was in the whole thing - email me

About last night....

Since its soon to be a memory I figured I should attend a fash show or two at Smashbox this season. I rounded up a few friends and took them to the Elmer Ave show. My friend grabbed her company Smart Car and off we went. It was the Smart Car move of the night as Smart Car is Daimler AG or Mercedes Benz, the show title sponsor. This landed us front row valet parking which made for a very easy getaway....after the show we were heading home and someone was projecting this Converse short film aka ad on the wall. Sorry All pics are fuzzy.

Yummm....

If you are looking for some tasty Thai in Silverlake head over to Gingergrass. It was the perfect rest stop between Rose Bowl shopping (window in my case since I was the only one who did make a purchase) and visiting with friends in Hollywood.

On Glendale.
I didn't realize today was a holiday, good thing I caught on before heading to the banco.

Gen Art

Last night I attended the GenArt Fashion Show. It took place in the Petersen Automotive Museum which was very cool but not as cool as the light installation outside of LACMA - click here to view

I am no reporter so if you want to read about the show - read the bit on Fashion Week Daily here. I can tell you I sat front row directly across from the lovely Maggie G. I dont know how I ended up there but I did.

sorry no photos.
Have a great weekend!

Blade your Ride - save gas, $$$ and the planet

On Monday Mi amigo y me had our cars 'bladed.' Bladed you ask?

This technology attaches to your tailpipe, looks cool (very important in my book - I know shallow), cuts down on harmful emissions and increases the fuel efficiency of your auto. It works on all types; take our cars for example - Yes I purposely scribbled out the license plate. Notice, one of us is driving a super styley 64 galaxy and one isnt but not mentioning any names....

Bladeyourride.com for more info....what are you waiting for!
