Babajiji

Babajiji means Grandparents. This I learned last Thursday night at a beautiful little soiree hosted by the Tortoise Clan. The evening was part jewelry show and part dining experience. The food was prepared by Yuri Nomura. It was fresh, delicious and the presentation was impeccable. Jump over to her website for more - Eatrip. I still have to get to Lacma to see the Eggleston exhibit but I did go Sat evening to hear an amazing group speak about film and Eggleston over the weekend. Panelists included Harmony Korine and the director of Cinemotography of the upcoming Sofia Coppola Movie Somewhere, Harris Savides. I'm a big fan of Clare Vivier and her collection of bags; handbags, clutches, totes...Yesterday I was invited to a tete a fete in her honor at the new Soho House. It was a lovely time and we even managed to sneak in drinks and dinner on the rooftop patio watching the sun go down over the lights of LA.

At the party, I met Jesse Kamm, forever immortalized by her shift with the big black bow (see pic above). We chatted a bit and Jesse shared some very interesting projects she and her husband have underway.

L + M & LACMA Renzo

Last night I went to a screening and q+a of the Sundance Darling and soon to be released Catfish! This doc, feature, new category, whatever you want to call it is superb! A must see!!!

Two things come to mind after a bit of reflection....As much as I love JT the Social Network is about to get the rug pulled out from under them.

Without giving anything anyway because I want everyone to have the chance to see the movie with very little background information as I did...Are the directors exploiting Abby to a degree too???
