Alexandra Wagner
Last week I treated myself to a facial. Boy was I in need. Alexandra went to work, buffing, polishing, micro derm, oxygen, mini-peels and when I walked out my skin was hydrated and glowing!
Her salon is quiet, clean and cozy right on Abbot Kinney. For more info visit her website

No question, I will be going back again!

The New York Bad Times
Don't know about you but after seeing this chart/image in the NYTimes
http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2008/09/21/business/21ceoCA01ready.html?scp=2&sq=shareholders%20at%20the%20top&st=cse
my first thought, was most definitely not empathy. More like anger, thousands of people are losing their savings and investments, jobs and let's not forget the ripple effect this causes, further damaging our already shaky economy. Yet, they still hold options to the tune of hundreds of thousands, even billions of dollars, in some cases. Why, for destroying and bankrupting the companies. they ran? I guess if they can sleep at night in good conscience, than more power to 'em......said with much sarcasm!!!!

PABLOVE - You listen, you give = YOU HELP
LOS ANGELES, September 17, 2008 - Some of the most recognizable names in indie and alternative music have donated new, unreleased, live and remixed songs for Filter Magazine and Urban Outfitters' benefit compilation, Give. Listen. Help. Volume 5, a double CD created in support of the Pablove Foundation. This charity has been established in honor of Pablo Castelaz, the 5-year-old son of Dangerbird Records' co-founder Jeff Castelaz and his wife Jo Ann Thrailkill, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. The album will be sold at all Urban Outfitters locations beginning Wednesday, October 15 until January 31, 2009, and is comprised of more than 25 tracks, featuring Radiohead, Oasis, Jack Johnson, Garbage, Bloc Party, Rilo Kiley, CSS and many others on disc one, while Dangerbird's tight-knit family, including Silversun Pickups, The Dears, Sea Wolf and Darker My Love, have rallied for the cause on disc two.On May 17, 2008, Pablo, the effervescent, boisterous preschooler, was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms' Tumor, a rare form of children's cancer that strikes less than 500 American kids a year. The cancer appeared out of nowhere. In the past month, Pablo has endured four surgeries in merely sixteen days, resulting with the removal of his right kidney and a third of his left kidney. He is currently on a nine-month chemotherapy regimen and an 11-day radiation treatment, equating to months in and out of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and countless hours in the oncology clinic. Over these past few grueling months Castelaz, Jo Ann and Pablo's older brother Grady have experienced the love and dedication from doctors, researchers, administrators and legions of volunteers they've encountered and so in turn, they want to give back. Every penny raised through the Pablove Foundation will go to CHLA, specifically directed toward play rooms, cancer research at the CHLA Saban Research Institute and to the new hospital set to open in 2009. Each year, CHLA treats over 93,000 children who need care that is so complex, it can only be provided by medical experts at the highest level. Every artist on these two discs has made a choice to participate, and to donate the usual fees and royalties to the Pablove Foundation. Kicking off with a previously unreleased track by Garbage (they completed this song especially for Pablo), the album is crammed with rarities from a who's who of alternative music all-stars. Disc two proudly displays Castelaz's other passion, his label Dangerbird Records which he co-founded with Peter Walker, with rare and unreleased tracks from his beloved musical family - most of whom have watched Pablo grow up.Although Pablo's form of Wilms' Tumor is the toughest, most rare kind, his treatment is advancing well. His progress has been chronicled on PABLOg, a blog fueled by Castelaz's daily newfound trials and tribulations, eloquently written with an equal dose of humility and humor.

My favorite words
include hoodie, cashmere (others not related to this post could include chocolate, french fries, use of someone else's amex black....) Inhabit makes some of the finest cashmere IMO. Congrats on their recent article in W Mag, though I would rather keep them to myself. While, way way way out of my budgie, there are so many cashmere + hoodie fabulous pieces on the Inhabit page it must be shared. Click here to visit the site
