Here's some tips from my past weeks and suggestions if you are sticking around LA for the long weekend.

Definitely check out the Barbara Kruger exhibit at L+M Arts in Venice (I love this gallery!!)

Have some drinks at the Stark Bar at Lacma! Oh and enrich your life by taking in some Art as well, the new Tim Burton retro to start....

Grab a bite at Son of Gun - I know it's a seafood restaurant but the Chicken Sandwich is BOMB and I rarely eat chicken!!

And most importantly have a great 3day holiday weekend however you chose to spend it!!!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to test sandwiches of the soon to open Daily Dose Downtown!! I rarely eat any sort of meat but I have to admit and share - the Turkey Meatball Grinder is AMAZING!! Keep you eye out for this one!

Just so happens the crew are/have been in town for the past week. I convinced them to come check out Venice/Abbot Kinney and they did. Fun times and so happy to hear about all the great projects past, present and future!

Funnel Mill

While running around Santa Monica yesterday I somehow managed to more or less remember the name and location of Funnel Mill, a boutique coffee and tea shop. We stopped to check it out...this is really not the place to swing through for a quick cup of coffee or tea. It is a great spot to bring your laptop, drink a delicious beverage and chill.

I am obsessed with mint tea (and probably food/drink in general). More often then not this requires me to run to the SMFM first thing Wednesday mornings to grab a bunch or two of the Moroccan Mint Leaves from Coleman Farms. No joke, I don't arrive before 9a its gone! And trust me Moroccan mint leaves makes a big difference!! Coleman also happens to have the BEST lettuce - all varieties....

Today I found this shot on Vie's page - cups and cups of what looks will be the most delicious mint tea....OOO!

Rodarte 'States of Matter' at the MOCA-PDC Museum....coming in March. The exhibit will feature pieces from Collections from 2008-2010.

The sisters had a little soiree last year showcasing their SIC shoes (colab with N Kirwood) at Mona Moore that I was lucky to attend. I was not lucky enough to receive a free pair of shoes!!!

I tend to go through phases; reading mainly magazines, reading books not magazines and then there is not reading at ALL phase! Since I am trying to regularly volunteer through 826LA - check out this AMAZING organization if you don't already know it! I'm trying to amp up the reading books category.
