Dark Circles
Anything that helps to temporarily hide the dark circles under my eyes, is a friend in my book. Add that is made with 100% organic ingredients, smells great and comes in a silky texture and its my NBF (new best friend)! Such is the case with Sukicolor's liquid formula concealer.

Does it get any lower....
I was reading about Robert Vesco, 'the undisputed king of the fugitive financiers.' This man would steal candy from babies, in addition to marketing a bogus pill to cure Cancer and AIDS and many many many other scandals. Can you imagine???

Juking - this is actual speed!!!!
Apparently - Juking: Created in Chicago in the late '80s,Juke house music is a hybrid of bass-heavy Chicago House (popularized in the city's famed club scene in the '90s) and Miami Bass, which is known for its sexual overtones - only Juke is even more intense as the music is sped up to 140-168 beats per minute.
Crazy, no? After watching this video. Thoughts of Patrick Dempsey in Can't Buy Me Love come to mind.
I posted a clip for your reference - and depending on youtube today. Its either before or after this one.....

Robert Rauschenberg
Robert Rauschenberg passed away yesterday, may he rest in peace. I am a big fan of his and all work from the post war contemporary period. Speaking of (this may sound crass), I bet Christie's is wishing they had a piece from RR up for sale in tonight's auction - click here for more info

Don't Drink
the Apple flavored Kool-Aid and I am not an gadget junkie. Recently, I popped in Apple to confirm I wasn't missing anything by not spending the extra hundreds of dollars for a laptop. The kid, as nice as he was, tried to sell me on 'how sexy' the laptop was. I just about burst out laughing!

Watch watch
I don't need a watch. I have a few nice ones but these days I don't wear any! If money were no object I would be sporting a Panerai have to admit after cruising around the Nixon site. They have sweet watches at great prices!! Take the player for instance....

Nau Closed
If you haven't heard Nau is closing. Maybe you have never heard of Nau, probably because they are ending before they really got going. I always had my doubts about a brick and mortar shop that required you to wait for your purchase, among other things. Sad story.

Chivas Skin Care
Yesterday, I received this lovely package from Lauren of Chivas Skin Care. It smelled so wonderful as I tore it open, see upper right in photo. Chivas is a socially conscious, Mother Daughter production with goat milk as a main ingredient. Can't wait to hop in the bath tonight!

Serious Grass Roots Marketing
Super High Me features comedian Doug Benson and explores the situation with medical marijuana in California & US, focusing on the conflict between federal and state law and the explosive growth in medical marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles over the past two years.
Sounds interesting right?
The producers (assuming credit goes here) came up with a so simple yet ingenious campaign -
'Roll Your Own Screening'
Essentially, if you want to screen the film before it drops in June they will send a DVD. Get a group together and show the film. All you cover is the shipping. Great low cost way to build buzz!

Plastic Ocean II
Some time ago I posted the story about the disgusting mounds of plastic building up in the Pacific: http://goldandsilverstars.blogspot.com/2007/05/plastic-nightmare.html
Vice Magazine now has a piece on the very same topic entitled 'Oh, This is Great' - click here for the story.

May Day
Its May 1 aka May Day. The halfway point between the Equinox and Summer Solstice. This means the days are longer and longer and longer for the next few months. Definitely felt this was the plan yesterday but today I awoke to a virtual snowstorm whiteout. Mother Nature certainly is bipolar these days! Here's a shot from my car.....
